Seven Ancient Wonders and ANTM

This post is divided into 4 parts. One abt the novels, one abt the 7 Ancient Wonders, one my thoughts and one abt ANTM. A bit long, but I want to share everything. Brace yourself!

PART 1

I'm in total love with Matthew Reilly. I love him sooo much.


This is Matthew Reilly.

And if you're starting to think that I just fell in love with an angmoh guy and planning to get marry with him and move to his place YOU'RE ULTIMATE CRAZY.

He is just my newly-loved author. I wonder why on earth I never noticed him before! *stabbing myself*

I noticed his newest book in the 'newcomers' shelf in Popular titled 'The Six Sacred Stones'. The title TOTALLY attracted me. Plus the cover. Never underestimate the power of the title and the illustration of the cover of any book. It is one of the key ingredients to attract someone to go near the book.

And when I opened the book, I fell in love with it. But I noticed that this book is the sequel of 'The Seven Ancient Wonders'. So I went to find it. Found, along with some of his past works. As 'The 7 Wonders' was expensive (RM 35++), and my wallet was skinny (RM 40, I need it for the date), I bought 'Contest' instead (RM14++).

It was his 1st novel. And yes you can KNOW it is a 1st novel of some author if you read it, you can still sense some unprofessionalism, but for me, undenyingbly GOOD!

I love the excitement Matthew brought from the very beginning of the story until the end. It is a thriller action novel. I love thrillers. Therefore I enjoyed it, TO THE MAX.

I did not intent to buy any book at 1st when I was in the Popular. But while I was waiting for my date (for two hours actually), I spent one hour in the shop sitting on the floor reading 'Contest', and I couldn't put it down. After one hour, I couldn't stand the uneasiness of the shop, I bought the book, scrambled out to Starbucks, ordered green tea Ice-blended with cream, sat there and read.

It was ultimate RELAX. With a book so nice, and a cup of so-nice bevarage, and nice weather, imagine it. Yea I can see you starting imagine Ian.

I knew when I was reading it, I could not just finish it in one blow. It must be divided into chapters. It must be enjoyed for few days.

And therefore after I finished 'Contest', I urged my Dad to buy me 'The Seven Ancient Wonders' when the family went to Popular.

And OMG, I personally think that it is TEN TIMES MORE WONDERFUL than Indiana Jones. It is speechless. The actions are OMG. And the Wonders. I appreciate fully the great knowledge of the ancient people.

As for now, I WANT 'THE 6 SACRED STONES' RIGHT NOW!!!

PART 2

Let me share with you guys what are the Seven Ancient Wonders. (starting from the most ancient one)

1. The Great Pyramid of Giza



Undenyable the most magnificent and ONLY remained Ancient Wonder in today's times. It is a total mystery, how it was built remains the ultimate mystery.

2. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon



If you read the novel, you will be amazed on his imagination of how the garden looked like. I can't even imagine it! Gosh... If this place is still actually exist I'm gonna go and see it for sure.

3. The Temple of Artemis



I'm not really well-fed on this wonder.

4. The Statue of Zeus



If this statue is survived, Gosh the view of it...

5. The Mausoleum



Erm, I'm totaly unfed of this Wonder, but as you can see the structure is very familiar, you see it in some of the modern buildings like the Shrine of Remembrance.

The tallest building on earth for a few centuries before it was destroyed in an earthquake.

7. Collosus of Rhodes



If he is still there, undenyingbly SUPER OMG.

PART 3

There are billions of books out there, and millions of authors out there. But it is so hard for me to find a book which I just simply enjoy.

And now, I have :

1. JK Rowling - Harry Potter Series
Thanks to the 1st movie of it, and Jia Ying who once lent me her books, in which she URGED me not to spoiled them, and which I did? Maybe a little... BLEK

2. Cecelia Ahern - PS I Love You, If You Could See Me Now
Thanks to Elyse, who introed my the books, and these 2 were the ones that made me sooo damn fucking touched, especially If, I cried over it.

3. Matthew Reilly - Contest, The Seven Ancient Wonders, The Six.., and The Five...
I found him myself!!! Yeah me! For those who like thriller and actions, YOU SHOULD READ! And I have faith that the sequencing books will be fantastic!!

4. Wisely - Wisely Sci-fi Series
Widely known, do you need me to elaborate???

Comparing these books to Panas Salju or The Pearl or Meniti Kaca (this is a nice storybook, and I like it) or even Pahlawan Pasir Salak... hmmm... Yeah you know what I mean... Not that those books are not good, it never make it out of Malaysia...

PART 4

ANTM Cycle 11 is out and hot!!!!

The pictures below are somehow disastrous, I was abit disappointed, but when I watch the show and saw their first shoots, I nailed my favourites at once.

These are the girls I WISH that can last till Top 6 :


Majorie - French looking, nice and sweet, hope she builds up some confidence.


Sheena - Unlike Gina (from cycle 6), this Asian girl rocks!!!!


Isis - She is a transgender with her 'mam-thing' still attached, but I LIKE HER! She is so brave and determined, go Isis!

I hope these 3 in the Top 3 actually. *blek*


Elina - I love her unique look and feel


Mckey - Slightly remind me of Britany from cycle 4...


Joslyn - Finally got her chance after 30 interviews, hope she works hard


Analeigh - Nice name, and a nice girl...

Wait, that makes a Top 7... =.=... anyway I hope discriminative bitches like Clark out. Shauren was out, and I think all people agreed that she was a bitch. So happy when the girl who kept saying 'I'm America's Next Top Model' got cut. *clap hands and say wohoo!*



So, that's a wrap. Can't wait for the books, can't wait for the show next week, BUT FUCK, I'M STARTING COLLEGE SOON!!!!
